• The student can revise and edit a paragraph-use specific details, vary sentence structure, improve word choice, use figurative language, communicate a coherent tone, and maintain a consistent voice throughout the paragraph.
• The student can proofread a paragraph by checking grammar, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
• The student can write paragraphs that explain, tell stories, relate personal experiences, compare and contrast, persuade and/or express opinions, and that are letters to friends.
• The student can write a three-paragraph essay based on the planning and development models used for paragraph writing.
